Islamabad DC bans 12 cooperative societies from new transfers and allotments

Islamabad Capital Territory’s Deputy Commissioner (DC), Irfan Nawaz Menon, has banned 12 cooperative housing societies from new allotments and transfers due to non-approval of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). This decision comes after the following housing societies failed to produce complete layout plans amongst other missing information:

  1. IB Employees Cooperative Housing Society (Incl. Gulberg Greens)
  2. Federal Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  3. Federation of Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  4. Services Cooperative Housing Society
  5. Pakistan Medical Cooperative Housing Society
  6. Islamabad Farming Cooperative Housing Society
  7. NA Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  8. Cabinet Division Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  9. M/O Interior Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  10. Civilian Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  11. Senate Secretariat Employees Cooperative Housing Society
  12. CBR Employees Cooperative Housing Society

This decision was conveyed via a notification which further stated that new memberships of plots in the aforementioned societies would not be granted, and sale and purchase of completed homes would only take place after permission from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
